Bnei Akiva - the largest religious Zionist youth movement in the UK. Branches in Manchester Region: Cheadle, Hale, Salford, Whitefield. Our northern office is also responsible for Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, and Nottingham branches - and more! Inter-branch activities include summer and winter camps.

Activities in Manchester: Weekly meetings for children 6-17 years old are held on topics relevant to modern Jewish religious life and a modern Zionist life. Weekly Minyanim at the Bayit (Friday night times vary, Shabbat mornings 9.30am), which have been described as the hidden gem in Manchester - highly recommended - why not try it yourself?

FZY is one of the strongest youth movements in the country.  We are religiously pluralist and apolitical.  We meet in members' homes on Sunday nights 8.00pm-10.00pm.  FZY holds Jewish and Zionist meetings, social activities and both regional and national events.

The JLGB is the United Kingdom's longest established Jewish youth organisation founded in 1895.  JLGB groups are situated throughout the UK, with Junior groups for ages 8-11 years and Senior groups for ages 11-18 years. 

There are five groups in Manchester: Cheadle Seniors and Cheadle Juniors meet at North Cheshire Jewish Primary School, Whitefield Seniors meet at Whitefield Synagogue, Whitefield Juniors meet at Bury & Whitefield School and Manchester Band meet at King David Junior School.

The JLGB provides numerous activities and is the only exclusively Jewish Operating Authority for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.  Through its national volunteering programme the JLGB offers volunteering opportunities and awards to almost every Jewish primary and secondary school in the UK.

JLGB has been awarded Approved National Open College Network Centre status in accordance with their qualification and credit framework standards.  By linking its training with NOCN, the JLGB is the first Jewish National Voluntary Youth Organisation to offer nationally-accredited training qualifications to its members.

Junior Stage 80

Junior Stage 80 is a stage group based in South Manchester for year 6 children upwards.  We put on a musical show at the Waterside Theatre, Sale in December each year attracting large audiences.  The children receive professional direction in acting, music and choreography.  JS80 has won many awards from the Greater Manchester Drama Federation for its productions of 'Gregory's Girl', 'Midsummer Night's Dream' and 'Little Shop of Horrors'.
